What is deep conditioning?                                                                                                                             Hair can get dried out and damaged from the use of heat styling tools, dyes and chemical straighteners, and exposure to the sun and cold air. Every once in awhile it’s a good idea to restore your hair’s moisture and body with a good deep conditioning treatment.

You’ll need

To restore moisture, and body to my hair through this harsh, on again off again winter I’m using;

  • Extra Vigin Olive Oil (EVOO)
  • Coconut Oil
  • Honey
  • Everyday Shea Moisturizing Conditioner (optional, any water base condition will do)
I use equal parts honey and oils (about a tablespoon of each), and about two tablespoons of conditioner.

Stir the ingredients together, place in microwave for 15 seconds. That apply to hair.

I twisted after applying to the hair. Then covered with a plastic cap.

Leave in for 30 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

My hair super soft, and moisturized. And without any product add to my hair my twist-out definition was on point, and held up for about 12 hours. This is a new HG. This DC treatment did not take up to much time in preparation. The treatment left me hair smelling OK, but not great. The smell was also cover by my leave-in, so no biggy. (DON’T FORGET TO APPLY A LEAVE-IN AFTER TREATMENT) Overall, this is the prefect treatment for me, and my kinks.

If you have dry hair, I definitely recommend give this treatment a try.

God Bless Beauties! 😉

  1. WOW. Sweet recipe girl, one question, can I leave this treatment in my year or do I absolutely have to wash it out? Sounds so yummy plus the ingredients are excellent would love to leave in 🙂 Let me know and thanks a mil. Will try this Wash Day.
    Smiles!!!

    • isleofazure; Thanks girl. 🙂 To answer your question. I don’t recommend leaving this treatment in the hair. The honey, and conditioner may cause the hair to get brittle over a course of days. It should definitely be rinsed out.
