Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Thickening Shampoo

ImageI recently came across the Shea Moisture section in a local drug store, and schemed all the different varieties of there products. The Thickening shampoo stood out to me. It mentions lots of volume in the description. So I was sold!

Ingredients: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) oil (denotes certified organic ingredients), aloe vera leaf juice, Adansonia digitata (Baobab) extract, biotin, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate (coconut oil), vegetable protein, Yucca Filamentosa extract, rosemary extract, bamboo extract, Lonicera Caprifolium (honeysuckle) flower and Lonicera Japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) flower extract.

What it does: A sulfate-free shampoo cleanses, strengthens and thickens strands for fuller, healthier hair. Prevents breakage.

YUCCA: for thickens & volume

BAOBAB: contains vitamins A,C,D,E to fortify and strenghten hair

I have to admit, I’ve heard mix reviews on some of there products. However, I was shocked by the results I experienced.

MY HAIR:

  • silky soft
  • bouncy
  • moisturizes
  • clean

Tip; this shampoo goes a long way. if you shampoo your hair in section, you only need to use about a nickle size amount. It lathers very well.

This was my hair after using the shampoo. Loved the curl definition.

I have so much shampoo left over, its like I barely used any. I very frugal so that fact makes me very happy.

I will add this product to my list of HG!

PS sorry for the weird grin. 🙂

Hope this post helps. Thanks!

  1. Your hair turned out great! I have to practice the twist out method for summer. I’ve been flatironing most of my transition but the summer’s humidity probably won’t allow me to continue thatl. lol
