Bentonite Clay + Shikakai Herbal Hair Oil Review

Heeeeey ya’ll, feeling so good about my hair this year. I discovered a new hair routine that kicks ass.

Treatment 1:
•Nupur Henna- 1 1/2 cup (optional, use as much needed for your hair)
•Horsetail (for hair growth)
•Castor Oil
•Shikakai Oil (a cleansing oil)
Mix with warm water, let it sit 2-3 hours. Then apply to sections of the hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap, let it sit overnight. I covered my pillow with a towel.

Treatment 2:
After you’ve rinsed the henna out completely began cleansing your hair with;
•Bentonite Clay 1 1/2 cups
•Castor Oil
•Warm Water
Mix together, apply to sections of the hair. Let it sit 20 – 30mins. NO LONG THAN THAT.
Once completed rinse it out. The Clay lifts all the lint, dirt, and any product build up from the hair. Substitute this as a shampoo.
Then continue with a conditioner. and don’t forget your leave-in conditioner.

This treatment left my hair frizz free, big, and bounce. 🙂

Product Review:
Shikakai Herbal Hair Oil

An ancient natural cleanser that is non- greasy. It coats and protects the hair, leaving it soft, smooth and manageable.

Vegetable oil, mineral oil, coconut oil, castor oil, aloe vera, brahmi, neem, sandal, amla, cyclomethicone.

I like this product a lot. BUUUT it does contain mineral oil, and a cone. Boooo! However, if you don’t mind the twi bad ingredients, I say go for it. Its 4.99 on

My hair was super soft, detangled like a breeze. Because I used this oil in my henna mix, I decided to clarify my hair with the Bentonite clay. Just make sure the cones, and mineral won’t damage my hair.
You can use this technique if like and skip the Shikakai oil. 🙂

God bless.
