The Cause Of Bad Twist/Braid-outs

Todays twist-out set with Now Solutions Shea Butter and Vakita Coconut Oil

Two weeks ago I had the best twist out ever. My hair held up great through the weather, and re-twisting every night helped my hair stretch remarkably well.
However, knowing my hair I knew the following week would suck.

So what was I doing wrong?
•Re-twisting by spraying to much water.
Applying to much water allows hair to shrink up a lot. Or revert back to it normal pattern.
•Not applying enough shea butter.
Not applying enough shea butter causes the hair to dry out easily, and frizz up.

Another tip:
Most curlies love to use gels while styling.
If are going to us gels I suggest:
Twist your hair first with a light oil, then use the gel to seal.  The Twists are going to shrink, that’s the nature of the style, but twisting without the gel will at least give you a little more length.
I stopped using gels in early spring so my hair won’t shrink as much. Since then my hair styles have been awesome.
I hope this post helps. 🙂
God bless beauties.
